Phi Gamma Delta

"Phi Gamma Delta exists to promote lifelong friendships, to reaffirm high ethical standards and values, and to foster personal development in the pursuit of excellence. Phi Gamma Delta is committed to provide opportunities for each brother to develop responsibility, leadership, scholarship, and social skills in order to become a fully contributing member of society."

Phi Gamma Delta, the 13th oldest Greek Letter Fraternity in America, was founded on May 1, 1848 at Jefferson College in Cannonsburg, Pennsylvania. Its vows have been taken by over 150,000 men at 107 undergraduate chapters at leading colleges and universities throughout the United States and Canada.

Fijis pride themselves on the development of character. Considered one of the strongest and most progressive national Fraternities, Phi Gamma Delta offers many valuable services to its graduate and undergraduate brothers. These include scholarships, loans and employment bureaus, guidance and leadership training, and an excellent national publication just to name a few.

The Indiana Chapters of Phi Gamma Delta are commonly known to lie within the Purple Valley of our Fraternity. The deep heritage and strong standing on all eight campuses throughout the state of Indiana make all of the chapters stand out as a shining point for FIJI across the United States.

Four out of the eight chapters in the state have been open for over a century. Currently, over 800 active brothers and over 3,500 graduate brothers living in Indiana contribute more than 20,000 hours of community service and have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to numerous national and local charities each year.
